Over the weekend, mom and I tackled the the mall with Austin for the first time. My mom bought Austin a stroller last week, so I wanted to try it out. What better place to take a stroll than the mall? haha. Austin was amazed at all the diverse people and scenery, though. He was completely content watching me try on shoes and return Christmas items.
1st Carousel Ride
The main reason I wanted to take Austin to the mall was so he could ride the carousel for the 1st time! He LOVES horses. He says horse in the most precious way. He loves going up to the farm to see, Buddy, the horse.
Austin was a little hesitant about riding the horse at first. He didn't want to let go of me. Mom videoed us as the carousel began to spin around and around. Austin became comfortable with the idea of riding the horse after a few minutes. He losen his death grip on me and began to smile each time we passed by my mom. He would shout out, "Ride. Ride. Ride!"
Look at his face above. He was not ready to get off the horse when the carousel stopped. His facial expressions crack me up. Austin's Uncle Blake says he gets all of those looks from me.
1st Great American Cookie
After we rode the carousel, we ate lunch together. Then we headed for a special treat. A mall visit wouldn't be complete without a Great American Cookie.
He swallowed his mini chocolate chip cookie in approximately two bites. He had the most wonderful day!
