I feel like August is flying past. Austin moved up to the "MOVERS" class at daycare this month. He is now sleeping on a kiddie cot instead of in a crib at daycare. We have not moved him from a crib to a big boy bed at home. We do not plan to for while.
He is walking everywhere. He says the following words clearly and understands what they mean: BYE-BYE, BALL, DOG, DUCK, PAPA, DADA, MAMA, NO, THIS, MEMO (ELMO)
He is a picky eater at the moment. Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and green beans used to be his favorite foods. He won't eat them at all now. Some days he eats a couple bites of his dinner, some days he eats it all. The doctor said that is normal for children 14-18 months.
As soon as he finishes dinner he says, "night, night". We literally pick him up, give him a bath, read a couple books, and then put him to bed. He falls asleep immediately. He doesn't fuss at all when we leave the room. He is usually in his bed by 7:30pm. He is the ideal child.
